(7:13:38 PM) HardWoodSalmon: Hi. (7:13:38 PM) MastrPrpht-AIM : out and about doing what needs be done (7:13:52 PM) MastrPrpht-AIM: hello (7:14:11 PM) HardWoodSalmon: who is this? (7:14:29 PM) MastrPrpht-AIM: how interesting. I was just considering whether or not to ask you that very question (7:14:53 PM) HardWoodSalmon: well I asked it first (7:15:55 PM) MastrPrpht-AIM: I'm not sure how to respond though. What level of answer to you want. Well you IMd me so I can answer better if you tell me why you IMd me. Did I IM you>? did I show up on your buddylist? (7:16:19 PM) HardWoodSalmon: you IMd me (7:16:23 PM) HardWoodSalmon: and now I am blocking you
not sure what to make of this. I would be offended that I'm being blocked by someone I don't know. You can't take 3 minutes to get to the bottom of this? That's kind of a dick move. Then I remind myself that I don't care. I don't know HWS. Am I worried someone cracked my inpenetrable compound word password? no. couldn't care less. What are they going to do with my AIM account? It's not as if they're IMing my friends they're IMing strangers. Probably a fluke anyway. If I'd been insulting or childish I could understand the quickness but I'm responding like a human being. Nowadays you can't even get people you know to type full sentences much less people you don't know.
I'm on AIM all the time so I should know if I get logged on twice. Sometimes I do it and every time I get messaged. Since I don't have any unaccounted for I'm thinking maybe HWS typed in my name wrong. How trippy would it be if they got a message from my old account MstrPropht.
Well thanks to the comments I can see what is happening. I thought it was lame to get a Mac virus, but i haven't seen an AIM virus since the 90s. Almost as funny as catching the I love You virus. If you block out the initial 'hi' HWS's confusion makes more sense. |
